How Much Exercise Do You Need

Exercise and chiropractic work together to reduce the effects of aging and reduce the risks of chronic diseases.

How much exercise do you need to do to see the benefits? The research is showing a minimum of 30 minutes of walking a day will improve your health potential. An additional 30 minutes would greatly increase the benefits, but walking at least 30 minutes per day will reduce your risk of chronic diseases.

Some of the benefits of exercise, even moderate exercise include:

   * reducing the harmful effects of stress                             * reduce symptoms of depression                              * improve learning

   * builds self-esteem                                                              * activates production of brain cells                            * decrease risks of dementia

   * increase metabolism                                                          * slow down the aging process                                   * reduce risks of chronic disease

How does chiropractic work to improve the results you get from exercise?  The central nervous system communicates, controls and coordinates ALL other systems of the body and is self-healing and self-regulating. When the vertebra in the spine are mis-aligned, it can cause interference and stress to the nervous system decreasing the body's ability to heal and self-regulate. With a properly aligned spine, your body performs at a higher level, and exercise is more effective.
