Introducing Dr. Nicole Zyla

Dr. Nicole ZylaDr. Zyla grew up in Jackson, Michigan. She was active in dance, soccer, choir and various student organizations throughout high school. After graduation she attended Grand Valley State University outside Grand Rapids, Michigan. While at GVSU she majored in Biomedical Science. She was determined to go into the medical field. After her sophomore year she began working as a C.N.A. in a local hospital. After that first summer she decided she wanted to focus more on prevention and work with the bodies’ natural abilities. She knew very little about chiropractic at the time but after having met a representative from Palmer College of Chiropractic she realized that the chiropractic philosophy matched her philosophy of health. She continued to work as a C.N.A. through college which gave her an abundance of experience with various disease processes. While at GVSU, she formed a Pre-Chiropractic Club with the help of Palmer College and a local alumni doctor and was active in the local state association. After graduating from GVSU with a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and a minor in Chemistry she left the great state of Michigan for Iowa to attend the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic.

While at Palmer, she worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in the gross anatomy labs, served as Class President and was elected to the Vogt Leadership Society. While at Palmer she took many elective courses to learn as many techniques as possible. One technique in particular stuck out for her. She had begun to suffer from migraines as an undergraduate and was looking for relief. She had tried many different chiropractic techniques but it was Atlas Orthogonal (AO) that focuses on upper cervical care that has decreased her migraines from 2-3 per week to 2-3 per month! She was drawn to the specificity of this technique and the great results that occur with this kind of care. During her 10th trimester of school, Dr. Zyla moved to Gilbert, Arizona to intern at Foresight Chiropractic. She was able to really focus on AO chiropractic and learn about a wellness based practice.

Dr. Zyla is the owner of Precision Care Chiropractic. She provides Atlas Orthogonal care and is also advanced proficient in the Activator technique. She believes low force techniques make changes within the nervous system without any discomfort to the patient. She encourages positive lifestyle changes and chooses to focus on wellness.
