Knee Pain Treatment

Knee pain is a common complaint across all age groups, male and female. The cause can be from sudden injury, athletic activities, overuse, or from a medical condition.

Emily is a gymnast and Dr. Keith Lavender is testing muscles for functionality, isolating individual muscles and muscle groups to identify those muscles that have been “turned off” or are aberrant. The brain and central nervous system act much like a circuit breaker in a home. Aberrant muscles will be “shut down” or “give way” when loaded to prevent further injury and the brain will recruit other muscles and groups to compensate. This may set up a cycle of injuries, repeated ankle sprains for example, constant knee, back or neck pain.

Once testing has been completed, a Certified Advanced Muscle Integration Technique or AMIT practitioner will be able use the AMIT treatment to re-activate the aberrant muscles. Fully functioning muscles allows an athlete or individual to perform at their very best as well as prevent future injuries and extend careers.
